Thelibrariesoncampuswereanotherhavenforwirelessconnectivity.Thenetworktherewasrobustandreliable.Itwasessentialforaccessingthevastdigitalresourcesofthelibrary,includinge-books,academicjournals,andresearchdatabases.Irememberspendingcountlesshoursinthelibrary,relyingonthestablewirelessconnectiontodigdeepintomyacademicinterests.

However,theexperiencewithpublicwirelessnetworksalsocamewithitsownsetofconcerns.Securitywasamajorissue.PublicWi-Finetworksweremorevulnerabletocyber-attacks.Ihadtobeextracautiouswhenusingthesenetworks,especiallywhendealingwithsensitiveinformationlikemybankdetailsorpersonalidentificationnumbers.Imadesuretouseavirtualprivatenetwork(VPN)toencryptmydataandprotectmyprivacy.
